Can you tell me more about Caring Hands Adult Day Service?Caring Hands Adult Day Service (CHADS) is dedicated to delivering high-quality services to those aged 18 and up who have developmental or physical disabilities. CHADS is a well-thought-out structured program with a positive person-centered approach that offers activities and support that is suited to the client's specific requirements. Clients are cared for in a professional setting designed for persons with developmental and physical disabilities who require daytime supervision. Clients who use CHADS facilities can interact and participate in organized activities. At the same time, we provide family caregivers with a reprieve from their caregiving responsibilities while remaining certain that their loved one is in good hands. Our hours of operation are 7:30AM to 2:30PM Monday through Friday. CHADS is located on the corner of Smoke Ranch and Rancho in North Las Vegas, in a freshly refurbished 9,000 square foot (SF) building. Our facility has easy access for clients being dropped off and picked up. There is reserved parking for those with disabilities, as well as ample parking for everyone else.

What kinds of activities do adult day services provide?At Caring Hands Adult Day Service, we provide a variety of activities to our program participants throughout the day, including cultural and educational programs and activities, exercise, life skills training, and home management.

What are qualified individual developmental specialists?According to the State of Nevada, ‘Developmental Specialists’ provide individual and group clinical, developmental and support services for individuals of all ages who have, or who may be at risk for, developmental delays, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or related conditions, and social, emotional and/or behavioral disorders. Incumbents develop and implement programs and treatment and service plans, provide direct services and case management, develop financial and community resources, and provide education, information and technical assistance to family members, other agencies and service providers regarding human growth and development.
